Job Content
The IVSP Operations engineer deals with the operations of the Telindus IVSP platforms which provide voice related services toward the Telindus IVSP customers. This includes the day to day management, troubleshooting and configuration of the Telindus IVSP platforms.
He/she will interface with the relevant service delivery departments for implementation of new and extentions to existing platforms as well as the follow up and management of customer trouble tickets.
Profile
Education :
- min level A1 or same level achieved by experience.
Experience :
The IVSP Operations engineer disposes of the following essential skills and requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience in operations of IT systems and IP networks (networking, security, switching, ..) with at least 5 years total experience in the ICT world
- Experience with operations of IP voice systems is an asset
- Working experience with linux/unix and windows operating systems
Languages :
- written and oral knowledge of English, Dutch and French
Personal Skills :
- Broad technology knowledge networking, security and systems
- Ability to learn, understand and master quickly new technologies and systems
- Flexible person
- Team player is a requirement
- Customer focused is a must
- Autonomous
- Stress resistant
- Willingness to take part in a standby and intervention system
Technical skills
It is expected that the IVSP operations engineer has technical experience level at an operational level. For in depth trouble shooting or implementations he/she can rely on the service delivery engineers.
- Operating system knowledge (Windows, Unix, Linux)
- Databases (SQL, Oracle ...)
- Linux programming / scripting
- Security Knowledge (Checkpoint)
- Networking (xDSL, IP, ATM)
- Voice knowledge SS7/INAP/SIP
- VoIP (SIP, H323, ...)
