The department Strategic Projects is in charge of follow-up and supervise the maintenance, installation and acceptance activities of the Computer Aided Dispatching (CAD) system for the A.S.T.R.I.D. project in all Belgian provinces, configurations on remote locations and on ASTRID central site, in order to make sure that the delivered services meet the customer expectations. This includes follow-up of (isolated/specific) problems, follow-up of tickets and direct feedback to the customer. In order to support the continuous growth in this area, we are looking for a motivated All Round System Engineer.
 
Profile
 
As one of the cornerstones of the maintenance organisation for the A.S.T.R.I.D. project and to lower network downtime and gain efficiency and productivity the All Round System Engineer is responsible for the integrated maintenance tasks to be done on a CAD-systems and support actions. Due to the CAD design a lot of different technologies on hardware, system software and applications have to interface and work together.  Depending on the type of technology this requires the All Round System Engineer to have both a high level and a low level knowledge combined with soft skills.  He/she will develop in-depth technical knowledge. In-depth training of the different suppliers solutions implemented in the network and/or the areas of competence is planned.
 
Education :
  • A1 / Industrial Engineer or equivalent by experience.
Experience :
  • 1 to 3 year relevant experience in a similar job.
  • All round technical ICT related knowledge (switches & switching, routers and routing, firewalls, IP, LAN, WAN, .)
  • Knowledge of operating systems (Windows server and professional)
Languages :
  • Fluent Dutch / French / English (oral + written)

  • Good communication skills
  • Stress resistant
  • Willing to constantly adapt new technologies and products
  • Team-worker, but able to work independently
  • Customer service and operations oriented
  • Strong fault diagnostics and analytical skills
  • Flexible: occasional weekend, evening or night-work is required
